Welcome To Lullaby Dreams

I have been writing lullabies for friends for over 40 years. This started just as a fun activity to please and delight friends. However, back in the early 2000s, I wrote two lullabies for friends who had just welcomed twin boys to their family. They absolutely loved their lullabies and suggested I make my lullabies commercially available. The result is Lullaby Dreams and I have been writing Custom Lullabies for babies all around the world ever since.

In addition to writing the lullabies, I also offer a video service, using your Custom Lullaby to create a special video – or videos – for the baby. Prior to a baby's birth, I use free-to-use images from the internet for the video lullaby. Then, if the family wishes an additional video, I make a second video using pictures of the baby and his/her parents, grandparents, siblings, family pets, etc.

It takes about 2 weeks for me to write each lullaby, and another 2 to 4 weeks to create a video (depending on which type of video you decide you want). Once I've got your song and video(s) created, I upload them to the internet and send you a download link. See the Custom Lullabies & Videos and Video Details sections below for more information.

A Song For Indiana

Back in 2007, Lynda and Rod (Granny and GrampaGruff) from Quebec, Canada, contacted me to write a custom lullaby for their new granddaughter, Indiana. As I talked with Rod and Lynda about the song, I had the idea to tell the story of Granny and GrampaGruff's search for the perfect Christmas gift for Indiana's First Christmas.

Of course, back then most people weren't using the internet to share music so we went "old-school." I created a CD of the song, including the CD artwork, then mailed the completed package of CD and frameable sheet music to Rod and Lynda to give to Indiana on Christmas.

On Christmas morning, I got the following email from Rod and Lynda:

"The song is just wonderful and everyone is thrilled with your Song for Indiana, and couldn't stop talking about it throughout the day. The entire process of ordering the song was very well handled by you which we appreciated very much. Thank you!

After getting lots of pertinent information from Dan, I wrote the lullaby and recorded it then made a video using free-to-use images from the internet. On the day, I set up a TV and computer at the event hall before Jess and her guests arrived. Toward the end of the afternoon, I walked in the door and a stunned Jess asked, "What are you doing here?" And here's what she had to say in a lovely thank you note after the shower:

"I was in complete shock when you showed up at my baby shower! I cannot thank you enough for the custom lullaby for Isla. Including Mack (their dog) in the lyrics was the icing on the cake! I know this will be talked about in our family for years. Thank you so very much."

Custom Lullabies & Videos

As mentioned above, I have designed three Custom Lullaby packages:

• A Template Lullaby song

• A Custom Lullaby song

• A Cartoon Video and/or a Picture Video

Both the Caroon Video and Picture Video packages include either a Template or a Custom lullaby song at no additional cost) to help anyone present a tailor-made song, that fits your budget, to that precious new baby in your life.

The music-only packages take approximately 2 weeks to complete and the music and video packages take approximately 4 weeks to complete, once I have all the details and required information from you. Once the package is complete, I provide links so you can download an MP3 and/or MP4 of your lullaby, as well as a printable PDF of the sheet music. (Click for an example.

Template Lullaby - $100

For a Template Lullaby, I take one of my standard lullabies and write custom lyrics, using information about the family of the baby that you provide in the lyric. Your lullaby is then digitally recorded and mastered before creating the MP3. Basic information I need includes:

• The name of the baby, if the parents have chosen one already

• Some info about the parent(s), siblings, and/or pets is also helpful.

• How you are connected to the child can be nice as well [grandparent(s), aunt/uncle, etc.].

• Anything else you can think of to add will be gratefully appreciated.

Custom Lullaby - $200

For a Custom Lullaby, I write you a completely unique song, as I did with both A Song For Indiana and Dreamland's Come To Call. After your lullaby is complete, I digitally record and master the MP3.

Video Details

For all Caroon Videos and Picture Videos I produce your video in MP4 format (these will show on any device or television). As noted above, this price is not in addition to the cost of the lullaby. Rather, it includes the lullaby song at no additional cost.

Cartoon Videos - $400

I use free-to-use images from the internet for Cartoon Videos, or can use high-quality hand-drawn images if someone in your family is a cartoonist or artist.

Picture Videos - $500

For Picture Videos, I use JPG images you provide (300 pixels-per-inch) and include basic tweaking (adjusting color, tone, contrast, and brighness). Note: There is an additional $100 charge if images are not in 300 pixels-per-inch format, as I must reformat them so they will show cleanly on big screen televisions
